CHASHMAL

is a “supergroup” composed of top notch entertainers on the Jewish scene who have joined together to create unique and exciting original music.

CHASHMAL can best be described as rich, upbeat music, enhanced tastefully by the miracles of today’s studio technology. Stylistically, it is at once cutting edge and yet serves as a natural transition from the typical contemporary Jewish sound. It is heartfelt and not gimmicky, wholesome and not disrespectful, innovative and not derivative. The concept of a real band in the classic sense is
so rare amoung Jewish artists.

CHASHMAL is totally self-contained. No outside writers, arrangers or musicians were recruited to make the album and none are required to pull off some of the liveliest and engaging concerts ever witnessed.

All the members are leaders in their communities,deeply involved in outreach as well as in musical and Torah education for both adults and children. A concert, simcha or Shabbaton with Chashmal provides the ultimate in a musical

Naftali Finkel

Naftali is executive producer of CHASHMAL. He composed, arranged & performed on the album and hand picked the group; each known for their incredible musical talent.

Naftali is an accomplished keyboardist, vocalist and
entertainer and has been performing concerts and at simchas for many years both in the US & Israel. He is the also the leader of his own Los Angeles based simcha band, Shira Orchestra.

  Sam Glaser

Sam is the co-producer and co-songwriter of CHASHMAL. He engineered and mixed the album in his state-of-the-art studio, Glaser Musicworks. His seven Jewish solo albums have earned him popularity in Jewish communities worldwide, and he tours to over fifty cities annually in concert.

 In addition to making his own recordings he scores for film, television & radio, and produces albums for a wide variety of artists.

Michael Ian Elias

Michael brings his extraordinary vocal and guitar talents to CHASHMAL. With one of the greatest vocal ranges in the business he has recorded & performed with such pop icons as Cher, Kenny Loggins, B.J. Thomas and Eddie Money.

Michael's voice can be heard on numerous film and television projects and his solo album of original Jewish music, "Keep The Light Shining" was released to great acclaim in1996.

    Moshe Schachter

Moshe Schachter has entertained international audiences with his captivating musical style and sense of humor. Born in Los Angeles, Moshe first started acting since the age of four and has since performed in numerous national TV commercials, voice-overs, and television shows. 

Moshe brings his sweet vocals, keyboard talents and lively persona to CHASHMAL.  He is also the leader of Nefesh Orchestra, a Los Angeles based simcha band.
